Varilight Remote/Touch Dimmer Light Switches have an industry-wide reputation for exceptional performance, long life and innovation at attractive prices. All our dimmer switches are designed to meet the latest European Safety Legislation. As the name suggests you can either dim these products by touch or by using an infra red remote control - either the YRC8 supplied by us or any tv/stereo remote control you may already have.

Our remote/touch dimmer switches can be used for mains incandescent GLS lamps (standard mains light bulbs). They can also dim GU10 or similar Hi Spot Mains Halogen lamps. Each dimmer specifies its maximum load so simply match it to your requirements. By using remote/touch dimmers there is a zero risk of damage in case of lamp failure and a dramatically improved lamp life. All our remote dimmer switches use Trailing Edge technology and are 1 way, but can be used as multi-way by combining them with our remote slave switches (but can not be combined with standard dimmer switches).
