Varilight Transformers reputation for reliability and ease of installation makes them a favourite not just with our customers but electricians as well.
Varilight Transformers provide a trouble free solution when used in conjunction with intelligent dimmers or touch/remote dimmers which uses a soft start technology that extends lamp and product life.
Varilight Standard Dimmers can also be used but please note they do not have the same qualities as the intelligent dimmers or touch/remote dimmers and are not soft start.
Features include:
Short circuit survival, Soft start for extended lamp life, Auto resetting overload, captive screws for easy installation in the hardest of places and dim up to 10 transformers in parallel per intelligent dimmer module (please note that you can only dim 5 when other transformers are used) up to maximum load of dimmer module.
For dimming, load is measured by the rating of the lamps (not by the transformer rating as with other transformers).
Transformer performs from 0W (ie total lamp failure) to its maximum 250w rating and every level between.
Thermal & Overload protection. Features are fully reversible thus not damaging the transformer or any equipment on the circuit.
Ultra-cool running reduces risk of product failure.
