Appearance & Function
The Eclique 2 dimmers look like a normal rocker switch with an infra-red sensor in the middle. This sensor dims and brightens the lighting via touching the top or bottom of the sensor. Holding the sensor at the top will brighten the lights; holding the bottom of the sensor will dim the lights and tapping the sensor will turn the lights on/off. The dimmers are also programmed with different scene settings which can be controlled by tapping the sensor.

Dimmer Modes
  • (Mode 1) The default setting that is pre-set in the dimmer
  • (Mode 2) Versatile mode, this is suitable for most types of lighting including dimmable LEDs
  • (Mode 3) Designed for dimmable CFLs and integrated downlights
Instructions are provided with the dimmer on changing lighting modes, an electrician is not required

2 Way & Multi Way Dimming
The Eclique 2 range allows multiple dimmer switches to be used on a single circuit which is a big advantage over standard dimmers. The main switch must be a master dimmer and then every additional switch after that must be a slave dimmer, using a slave unit as a standalone dimmer will not work.

Protection & Soft Start
The Eclique 2 dimmers have self-resetting overload & heat protection built in so it is able to safely handle overload situations if the wattage of a bulb are too high. It will cut out before any damage is caused and will not start again until a bulb of the correct wattage is installed, it will also cut out if the temperature gets too hot.

Low Voltage
When using low voltage transformers it is recommended to use a maximum of 5 good quality electronic transformers, 10 if varilight. Add the watts of the lamps if using Varilight transformers to determine which dimmer to select, but if you are using another manufacturer of transformer, add up the VA of the transformers so it does not exceed the maximum wattage of the dimmer. 

Fixing Issues with Poor Quality Lamps
The active load module Z2ACTIVELOAD can be used to fix any flickering when using poor quality LEDs with the Eclique 2 dimmers. If there is a glow when the light is turned off then a GlowFix (YAGF) can be used to stop this. If an Eclique 2 dimmer is installed with poor quality LEDs and doesn’t work then the dimmer is not compatible and it is the fault of the LEDs and not the dimmer. This means the LEDs will need replacing not the dimmer switch.
